Review


The difference between analog and digital:
The main difference between analog and digital is that an analog signal is continuous and a digital signal is discrete.  Analog technologies record waveforms as they are, while digital technologies convert analog signals into numbers.

 Random Access Memory (RAM)-
Random Access Memory is the most common computer memory which can be used by programs to perform necessary tasks while the computer is on.
  Read-Only Memory (ROM) -
Read-Only Memory is a memory read at high speed but not capable of being changed by program instructions.
  World Wide Web –
World Wide Web is an information system on the Internet that allows documents to be connected to other documents by links, enabling the user to search for information by moving from one document to another.
  Data (computer) – 
Data could mean large quantities of standard information used for reference. For example, the information you're reading now is considered data. On a computer is stored in binary or a series of 0's and 1's.

Program - 
A computer program (also a software program, or just a program) is a sequence of instructions written to perform a specified task for a computer.

Hypertext – 
Hypertext is a software system that links topics on the screen to related information and graphics, which are typically accessed by a point-and-click method.

Hardware – 
Hardware is a device that is physically connected to your computer or something that can be physically touched.
  Software – 
Software is a collection of instructions that enable a user to interact with the computer or have the computer perform specific tasks for them.

  MP3 – 
A file extension and compression method utilizing the MPEG compression standard to reduce the size of a file often down by a factor of 12 and still have a CD-like quality.
  Cyber bully 
 A cyber bully is often an adolescent who posts inappropriate or rude things about a specific person or otherwise harasses that person on the Internet, in e-mails, through IM' , or though other digital formats such as text messages (SMS) on a cell phone.
 Database - A database is a large quantity of information that can be searched, referenced, compared, changed or otherwise manipulated without a lot of work.

The Desktop is a system of organization of icons on a screen (home).
 E-mail E-mail is text messages that may contain files, images, or other attachments sent through a network to a specified individual or group of individuals.

 Home page - Home page is the name of the main page of a website where visitors can find hyperlinks to other pages in the site.
 Keyword -  Keyword is a word or group of words that help the search locate a better match for their search.

 Password -  A password is a set of secret characters or words utilized to gain access to a computer, web page, network resource, or data. Passwords help ensure that computers or data can only be accessed by those who have been granted the right to view or access them.

Paste -  Paste is an operating systems and programs action that allows a user to copy or cut an object or text from one location and move it into another location.
